Who We Are & What We Do:
Amy and I are Service Team Ambassadors for CCI. As volunteer ambassadors, we give presentations and demonstrations to various audiences throughout our community. We tell others about CCI and educate them about the important role assistance dogs play in the lives of those with physical challenges.
About CCI:
Imagine for a moment, not being able to reach a light switch, pick up your dropped keys, open a door, or hear the phone ring. Then imagine having a dog that could do all of that for you and more. CCI provides highly-trained assistance dogs for children, adults and veterans with disabilities, free of charge. They breed, raise and train Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers or crosses of the two, to become one of four types of assistance dogs: Service Dogs, Skilled Companion Dogs, Facility Dogs, or Hearing Dogs, depending on the needs of the applicant.
